Do you immediately think of radical deprivation, tasteless celery juices, and hours of torment on the treadmill when you hear the terms longevity and healthy life?
To be quite honest, as a coach, I am not so sure about that.
Let’s take a look at the hard, scientific demographic data:
According to current statistics, the average life expectancy in Germany is 81.2 years (around 83.5 for women and 78.9 for men). Now, let’s look across the Alps to Italy: there, the average life expectancy stands at an impressive 83.7 years (with women reaching an average of 85.7 years). Italians are global leaders when it comes to longevity - even though they live what seems to be the exact opposite of strict asceticism.
Italians passionately love their pasta (often late in the evening), enjoy one or two excellent glasses of red wine, and crown it all with a handcrafted tiramisu or gelato.
Their secret? It's not deprivation. It's mindful enjoyment and quality.
The Biological Secret: Fresh vs Processed
The recipe for cellular rejuvenation (anti-aging) and a fit body is simple: real, unprocessed food.
The traditional Mediterranean diet relies on fresh ingredients, high-quality olive oil (an absolute miracle weapon for your cardiovascular health!), and whole foods. You are allowed and encouraged to eat everything you love - including carbohydrates, desserts, or a glass of wine. But in moderation and of the highest quality.
When you give your body real nourishment instead of artificial diet shakes and "light" products, you signal safety and vitality to your cells.

Why Diets Block Belly Fat? The Cortisol Dilemma
As a structured coach, I work on a biochemical level. When you torment yourself with strict diets and constant restrictions, here is what happens inside your body: you generate massive mental and physical stress.
-
This stress triggers the release of the hormone cortisol.
-
Chronically elevated cortisol levels block fat-burning (especially stubborn visceral belly fat).
-
At the same time, your body breaks down valuable muscle mass, and your metabolism slows down.
In short: the struggle biologically achieves the exact opposite of what you actually want to accomplish.
Movement Without Torment: Rethinking the Alster Loop
To maximize your vitality, you don’t need to exhaust yourself completely every single day. You don’t have to conquer the Alster loop in Hamburg, gasping for air, in 45 minutes just to "burn off" yesterday’s tiramisu.
A relaxed, brisk walk (Zone-2 cardio) or an easy bike ride in the fresh air are phenomenal tools for your active recovery.
The best part? At this pace, you have plenty of breath left to call a friend you rarely hear from in a busy business routine - or to take a stroll along the Alster together if she lives in Hamburg.
My Blueprint for a Long, Vibrant Life
Enjoyment, balance, and a positive mindset are your most powerful tools for a healthy, beautiful body. Not torment.
Let’s take the pressure off and design a premium lifestyle that elevates your energy to the next level - completely free of deprivation.
With this in mind: Pray, Eat, and Bella Vita! 😉
Yours, Ewa - Coach Dewila
